Mainstreet Credit Union Expands Lenexa Footprint with Two New Facilities

The new 87th Street Operations Center, opening this October at 10910 W. 87th Street, will serve as the central hub for departments previously scattered across multiple sites. CEO Bob Mayes noted that the existing infrastructure could no longer accommodate the institution’s current growth trajectory or its expanded mission. By centralizing these teams, the credit union intends to streamline cross-functional collaboration and boost service efficiency.

Simultaneously, the branch currently co-located at the 13001 W. 95th Street headquarters is relocating to 9500 Lackman Road. This facility is designed with a focus on private member interaction, featuring dedicated rooms for financial-wellness workshops and community organization meetings. Real estate firm CBRE represented the credit union in both property transactions, identifying the expansion as a vital step in evolving service delivery for the cooperative’s 54,000 members.
