AI Retail Startup Thri5 Lands $5.4 Million in Seed Funding

Thri5, an AI-driven retail execution platform, has secured $5.4 million in seed funding to scale its operations globally. The round, co-led by Whitecap Venture Partners and Mistral Venture Partners, follows a successful pilot program with Wild Fork Foods that integrated the startup’s software across its store network in the United States and Canada.

The company functions as an AI-native execution layer that sits above existing retail technology stacks. By continuously analyzing data signals across an enterprise, the platform identifies high-value opportunities and coordinates actions between head office priorities and store-level operations. According to Thri5 co-founder and CEO Jeremy Pee, the primary challenge for modern retailers is not a lack of data, but the difficulty of translating that intelligence into consistent action across every store location.

Thri5 was founded by Pee, formerly of Marks & Spencer, and Herman Paek, who previously served as general manager at Kijiji Canada. The pair brings experience from their time scaling Loblaw Digital. With this fresh capital, the startup aims to expand its engineering and product teams while accelerating its commercial rollout to enterprise retailers. Investors noted that the shift toward systems capable of direct operational action represents a significant evolution in enterprise software, moving beyond simple insight generation.
