Formed in 1997 in Coral Springs, Florida, New Found Glory defined a generation of pop-punk, with Gilbert serving as the group's primary songwriter and creative engine. His bandmates—Jordan Pundik, Ian Grushka, Cyrus Bolooki, and Dan O’Connor—credited his relentless drive and humor for the band’s longevity across more than a dozen albums.
