Bill Skarsgård Tapped for Hideo Kojima’s Action-Espionage Physint

During the Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2026, Hideo Kojima revealed that actor Bill Skarsgård will headline his upcoming action-espionage title, Physint. The project, described by the designer as the culmination of his four-decade career, marks a significant shift for the actor as he moves into the realm of interactive digital performance.

The casting announcement confirmed that Skarsgård’s likeness and performance will serve as the core of the game, joined by a cast including Charlee Fraser, Don Lee, and Minami Hamabe. Filmmaker Jordan Peele is also attached to the production. Kojima noted that early camera tests and scans conducted with Skarsgård and Fraser provided the creative team with confidence in the project's direction, citing a mutual admiration for their respective works.

Physint represents the third original intellectual property from Kojima Productions and aims to redefine the action-espionage genre through advanced technology and cinematic storytelling. While Skarsgård is best known for his portrayal of the terrifying Pennywise in the IT franchise—a role he is slated to revisit in the upcoming second season of HBO’s Welcome to Derry—this collaboration marks his first major venture into video games. The actor’s recent filmography includes appearances in Gus Van Sant’s Dead Man’s Wire and The Death of Robin Hood, alongside upcoming roles in Peter Berg’s The Mosquito Bowl and Andrew Niccol’s Lords of War.
