Project Healthy Minds Returns to Spring Studios for Mental Health Week

New York’s Spring Studios will host a pair of high-profile events this October as Project Healthy Minds marks World Mental Health Day. The nonprofit’s fourth annual gala and fifth annual public festival aim to connect celebrity advocacy with tangible mental health resources through a series of workshops, performances, and honors.

The festivities kick off with a gala on October 8, hosted by NBC’s Carson Daly. This year’s ceremony recognizes Tercera CEO Chris Barbin as Humanitarian of the Year, alongside Nespresso, which will receive the Corporate Visionary award. Television producer Bill Lawrence is set to be honored as Storyteller of the Year, while fashion designer Naeem Khan will debut an immersive installation titled "Beyond the Glitter," exploring the tension between public perception and inner psychological realities.

Two days later, on October 10, the focus shifts to a public festival designed to foster community engagement. The event features a diverse lineup including NBA champion Karl-Anthony Towns, actor Terry Crews, and social psychologist Jonathan Haidt. Programming spans six core pillars—ranging from movement and restoration to creative expression—with sessions covering topics like the impact of technology on mental well-being and managing personal transition. With backing from sponsors including PepsiCo and lululemon, the organization continues its push to connect 10 million Americans to mental health services over the next decade.
