The festival, presented by Ranger Chocolate Co., has grown significantly since its debut last year when it hosted 30 exhibitors and 2,000 attendees. This year’s expansion includes a collaboration between Steven Smith Teamaker and Ranger Chocolate Co., debuting a tea-infused bonbon collection on Saturday evening. Mayor Keith Wilson is set to join the judging panel for the C⁴ competition at 3 p.m. on October 3 to crown the inaugural winners across professional and amateur categories.
Beyond the competitive baking, the event functions as a showcase for Oregon’s artisan food scene, featuring Stumptown Coffee Roasters and local food trucks on-site. Founder George Domurot noted that the event aims to bridge the gap between local producers and the public, emphasizing the craftsmanship behind regional confections. The weekend kicks off with a VIP session on Friday night, followed by two days of public tastings and family-friendly activities in the Central Eastside.
