The PSN Top Guns list, published by YCharts, evaluates strategies based on proprietary performance screens across 75 investment universes. To qualify, the Alpine Saxon Woods Dividend strategy met stringent criteria, including an r-squared of 0.80 or greater relative to its style benchmark over a five-year window and consistent outperformance across three-year rolling periods.
Mark Spellman, CEO and Portfolio Manager at the Purchase, New York-based firm, noted that the recognition reflects the strategy’s focus on free cash flow and balance sheet metrics. The Dividend strategy prioritizes companies capable of sustaining or growing their payouts, often resulting in a large-to-mid capitalization profile. With over $890 million in assets under management, the firm maintains that this independent validation underscores its commitment to client success. Alpine Saxon Woods compensates PSN only for the licensing rights to use the award badges in marketing materials, rather than for the inclusion process itself.
