Federico Bricolo, President of Veronafiere, emphasized that the current registration figures reflect a growing interest from importers, distributors, and HoReCa operators across North America. A notable portion of these attendees are engaging with the Italian wine sector for the first time, signaling potential for new commercial channels in the United States, which remains the leading non-EU market for Italian wine.
The event floor will feature a broad spectrum of Italian representation, including regional groups from Friuli Venezia Giulia, Lazio, and Sardinia, alongside major consortia such as Prosecco DOC and Brunello di Montalcino. Beyond the exhibition, the program integrates broader culinary and tourism initiatives. SOL Expo will highlight Italian extra virgin olive oil, while Vinitaly Tourism aims to capitalize on American interest in wine-related travel, supported by data showing that nearly half of surveyed U.S. tourists are considering wine-focused trips to Italy within the next two years.
Educational programming will be anchored by the wine2wine Business Forum. This year, the forum splits into four specialized tracks—Train the Trade, Sharpen the Method, Deepen the Expertise, and Activate the Experience—designed to refine the technical and storytelling skills of industry professionals. The event concludes with a preview of the 2027 season, as Wine Spectator announces the selected wineries for the upcoming Vinitaly OperaWine.
