Fundraiser Launched to Support Perez Hilton’s Children and Mother

Longtime friend Tom D’Angora organized the fundraiser to cover the unexpected costs of maintaining the children’s school schedules and daily activities. D’Angora explicitly noted that all contributions are reserved solely for the benefit of the family, ensuring that none of the funds are used for Hilton’s personal expenses or medical care.

Hilton, whose legal name is Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr., was hospitalized in August following a concerning livestream. On August 18, a court granted his mother temporary custody of his children—Mario, 13, Mia, 11, and Mayte, 8—to provide stability during his absence. While Hilton remains in a residential facility with limited contact with the outside world, his family reports that the children are doing well under their grandmother’s care. Although his relatives described his transition to a treatment program as a significant step, they emphasized that there is still a long road ahead for his recovery.
