The collaboration features a commemorative doll styled in a miniature replica of Kravitz’s stage attire from his current tour. The figure sports custom denim, a cowl-neck tank, and accessories modeled after the singer's personal collection, including vintage sunglasses and a necklace originally belonging to his mother, actress Roxie Roker. Mattel designers even replicated the portrait tattoo of his mother on the doll’s arm to ensure authenticity. Kravitz described the experience as surreal, noting that he never anticipated becoming a toy model.
Nathan Baynard, Mattel’s Head of Barbie, stated that the partnership highlights the artist’s commitment to individuality and genre-defying style. The move follows the appointment of basketball star LeBron James, who became the inaugural Kenbassador. Unlike the previous athlete-focused initiative, the Kravitz release aligns with his ongoing tour, which concludes September 26 at Central Park’s Great Lawn. The Barbie Signature Kenbassadors Lenny Kravitz Ken Doll is currently retailing for $70.
