The integration connects Costco warehouses across the country to the DoorDash delivery network, addressing high consumer demand for the warehouse giant on the platform. Mike Goldblatt, Vice President of Enterprise Partnerships at DoorDash, noted that the move pairs Costco’s bulk value and selection with DoorDash’s local logistics reach, providing members with greater flexibility in their shopping habits. This U.S. launch builds upon an existing international relationship that already spans markets including Australia, New Zealand, Sweden, Iceland, and Puerto Rico.
With this addition, DoorDash now counts eight of the ten largest food retailers in North America among its partners. This strategy follows a broader trend for Costco, which earlier this year expanded its partnership with Instacart into France and Spain, utilizing the platform's Storefront Pro technology to power dedicated delivery websites in those regions. By diversifying its digital fulfillment channels, Costco continues to bridge the gap between traditional warehouse shopping and the growing consumer preference for rapid, doorstep delivery.
