Her collaboration with Fountain 0 arrives amid a volatile debate regarding the role of AI in entertainment. The studio recently gained attention for producing “Dreams of Violets,” a 75-minute feature created for roughly $2,000 using AI-generated visuals and voices. Although proponents like Hostin view this technology as a tool for creative autonomy and democratization, critics argue that such methods threaten the livelihoods of human artists, writers, and crew members.
