Travis Kelce Named Victim in $35 Million Ponzi Scheme

NFL star Travis Kelce has been identified as an investor in a massive Ponzi scheme orchestrated by Siddharth Jawahar, a Texas-based firm operator recently sentenced to 11 years in prison. While the exact financial impact on Kelce remains undisclosed, the revelation has sparked a wave of public mockery regarding his financial judgment.

Jawahar, who operated Swiftarc Capital LLC, defrauded investors of more than $35 million between 2016 and 2023. According to federal prosecutors, the perpetrator funneled only a fraction of the capital into legitimate investments, instead diverting funds to bankroll a lavish lifestyle of private jets and exclusive club memberships. He was ultimately convicted on three counts of wire fraud and ordered to pay $31.35 million in restitution.

The news has invited harsh scrutiny from fans, who are drawing sharp comparisons between the Kansas City Chiefs player and his wife, Taylor Swift. Known for her calculated business maneuvers—most notably the successful re-recording of her music catalog to regain ownership of her masters—Swift is widely viewed by the public as a model of fiscal discipline. Social media users have seized on the contrast, questioning how the NFL star fell for a scheme that many are labeling an obvious fraud.

Neither Kelce nor Swift has issued a public statement regarding the situation. With Jawahar now imprisoned, the path to recovering any portion of the lost capital remains uncertain, as does the total sum Kelce invested before the scheme collapsed.
