These groups operate year-round to combat marine debris through research, community advocacy, and direct action. According to Cara Wallach, brand manager at EZPik, the donation aligns with the company’s core focus of simplifying daily tasks, now applied to environmental restoration efforts.
Greg Finklestein of the Pacific Beach Coalition noted that the tools are particularly useful for accessing difficult terrain, such as spaces between levee boulders and within creeks. While the global spotlight shines on marine pollution this September, the brand intends for these grabbers to remain in service for ongoing community maintenance. EZPik’s flagship reacher tool, which features a patented folding design and dual-magnet mechanism, currently holds a significant presence in the consumer market with over 500,000 units sold.
