The capital infusion targets specific infrastructure upgrades, including modernized canning and bottling lines, along with expanded rail capacity to improve supply chain logistics across the region. These facility enhancements serve the company's goal of meeting rising demand for its spirits-based cocktails and beer brands. The project is part of a two-year Brewing Futures initiative, which has already seen $184 million directed into Southern California operations since 2021.
Beyond equipment, the company is launching a technical skills training center at its Van Nuys brewery to provide operators with advanced electrical and mechanical certifications. CEO Brendan Whitworth noted that the investment aims to sustain long-term job growth and bolster the region's manufacturing sector. Local officials, including U.S. Representative Luz Rivas and State Senator Caroline Menjivar, highlighted the move as a critical development for the San Fernando Valley economy, noting that the brewery has remained a fixture in the area for over seven decades.
