The company’s drill hole ES-347 intercepted 0.23 g/t gold over 65.5 meters, starting at a depth of 253 meters. This find sits along the margin of a 1.5-kilometer-long magnetic low anomaly, a geological setting that mirrors the characteristics of the established McIntosh deposit. A2Gold plans to use these geophysical markers to prioritize future exploration across the district-scale project.
Beyond the new discovery, drilling also pushed the boundaries of the known McIntosh resource. Hole ES-342 returned 0.20 g/t gold over 32 meters, extending the mineralization 86 meters to the southeast. CEO Peter Gianulis stated that the program successfully met its dual objectives of expanding current resources and identifying fresh targets. The company intends to follow up on these results as part of its broader strategy to evaluate high-grade potential within the Eastside epithermal system.
