Under the terms of the agreement, Dualitas will deploy its proprietary DualScreen platform to identify novel candidates. Unlike conventional approaches that target predetermined pairs, this engine functionally interrogates the cell surface to uncover synergistic activities. Dualitas is set to receive an immediate $36.5 million payment, with the potential for further development and commercial milestones plus tiered royalties as the programs progress.
Roche will assume responsibility for all subsequent preclinical development, manufacturing, and global commercialization efforts. For Dualitas, the partnership serves as a high-profile validation of its proximity biology focus, a field that aims to trigger therapeutic effects impossible for standard monoclonal antibodies. The company continues to advance its own internal pipeline, including candidates targeting rheumatoid arthritis and dermatologic autoimmune diseases, which are expected to enter clinical trials next year.
