Ikea's Meriel Neighbour joins 2026 RTIH Innovation Awards jury

Meriel Neighbour, the programme director driving global technology transformation at Ingka Group/Ikea, has joined the judging panel for the 2026 RTIH Innovation Awards. Her appointment brings over two decades of retail digital experience to the competition as the organization prepares for its November ceremony in London.

Neighbour currently oversees large-scale omnichannel programmes for Ikea, having previously managed budgets exceeding £200 million and teams of up to 500 staff. Her background includes high-profile digital transformations for retailers such as Clarks, Boots, River Island, and Ted Baker. As a MACH Alliance Ambassador, she maintains a specific focus on composable commerce, cloud migration, and AI-enabled customer experiences.

She joins a diverse panel of industry experts, including representatives from Amazon, Walmart, JD Sports, Boots, and CVS Health. The awards, which are free to enter, aim to highlight innovation across the global retail technology sector. Submissions for the 2026 cycle remain open until October 2, with the final winners set to be announced during a ceremony at The HAC in Central London on November 4.
