Dr. Gupta joins the St. Paul-based firm with a background in breast oncology and clinical research, having previously served as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Stanford University. Her academic and professional tenure includes a focus on circulating tumor DNA and leadership in various breast cancer clinical trials. CEO Jayant Parthasarathy noted that her experience will be instrumental in integrating the company's diagnostic tool into standard clinical practice.
Certitude™ Breast is designed as a non-imaging, blood-based diagnostic that analyzes over 9,000 proteins to identify molecular signals of cancer. The test targets women over 40 with dense breast tissue or those requiring risk stratification after initial mammography. By leveraging machine-learning algorithms and mass spectrometry, the company aims to provide a more precise screening alternative for patients where traditional imaging often faces limitations.
