OpenText and Cohere Partner to Bring Agentic AI to Regulated Sectors

The collaboration leverages OpenText’s vast data management infrastructure alongside Cohere’s North platform. By combining OpenText’s ability to organize unstructured, transactional, and operational data with Cohere’s orchestration layer, the companies intend to move agentic AI from experimental pilots into active production environments. This stack is designed to function across diverse infrastructure, including on-premises setups and private or sovereign clouds.

OpenText CEO Ayman Antoun emphasized that data acts as the essential context for purposeful AI, while Cohere CEO Aidan Gomez highlighted the necessity of maintaining control over data residency. The integrated solution will be incorporated into OpenText’s Aviator AI agents, with a strategic reseller agreement through SOLEX allowing for broader distribution. The companies expect this architecture to address the specific requirements of federal governments, financial institutions, and healthcare providers that prioritize security and strict data governance.
