ASSA ABLOY Expands US Security Portfolio with PACLOCK Acquisition

ASSA ABLOY has acquired California-based Pacific Lock Company, a move designed to bolster the Swedish security giant’s presence in the US padlock market. The deal integrates PACLOCK’s specialized manufacturing capabilities into ASSA ABLOY’s Americas division, marking another step in the firm's strategy to capture share in mature regional markets.

Founded in 1998, the Valencia-headquartered manufacturer brings a team of approximately 40 employees and a reputation for customized security hardware. PACLOCK will now operate under the Residential Business Segment within ASSA ABLOY’s Americas division. The acquisition is expected to be accretive to earnings per share immediately, following a 2025 fiscal year where PACLOCK reported sales of roughly 17 million USD with strong EBIT margins.

Nico Delvaux, President and CEO of ASSA ABLOY, framed the purchase as a strategic alignment intended to complement the group’s core business offerings. Lucas Boselli, who leads the Americas division, pointed to the company’s US-based production and innovation in tailored security solutions as key drivers for the integration. This move allows the global leader to tap into PACLOCK’s existing customer base that requires specialized, non-standard security hardware.
