The capital injection arrives alongside a strategic partnership with The Estée Lauder Companies, which will deploy Profound’s technology across its global prestige beauty portfolio. By integrating Profound’s tools, the cosmetics giant aims to monitor and optimize how its brands appear within AI-generated search results, ensuring consistent messaging as consumer discovery habits evolve.
James Cadwallader, CEO and co-founder of Profound, argues that the marketing industry has been underserved by the current wave of frontier AI, which has prioritized finance, law, and coding. His platform aims to bridge this gap by acting as a 'system of record' for brand context, allowing marketers to govern how AI models interpret their data. With over 2,500 brands currently using the service, the company plans to utilize the new funding to bolster its applied AI research team and establish standardized benchmarks for real-world marketing performance.
