The round was led by Madrona Venture Group and Inspired Capital, with participation from existing investors including Triple Impact Capital, Silence Ventures, Data Tech Fund, and Animal Capital. Co-founders Jordan Allen and Brock Kowalchuk plan to utilize the fresh capital to accelerate market entries—building on recent launches in Denver and Chicago—and to strengthen the company’s reverse logistics capabilities.
To support this growth, Buywander has fortified its executive bench with several key hires, including Chief Operating Officer Laura Sasser and Chief Product Officer Mani Sundaram. Additionally, Scott Jacobson, Alexa von Tobel, and Greg Greeley have joined the company’s board of directors. The startup aims to turn the persistent retail challenge of surplus inventory into a scalable opportunity, providing a structured, local liquidation process that satisfies both value-conscious shoppers and retailers looking to clear stock.
