The report, which analyzed 12 leading Cloud WAAP vendors, placed Harness among an elite group of five providers that satisfied both "Secure by Design" and "Secure by Default" criteria. Testing demonstrated a 99.8% security efficacy score and a 98.2% operational efficiency rating, marking a consistent performance since the 2025 evaluation. Notably, the platform achieved perfect marks against the OWASP API Security Top 10 and demonstrated total false positive avoidance across 1,452 test cases.
Beyond general web application protection, Harness outperformed the group average in emerging AI-centric security domains. The software recorded a 100% score for OWASP LLM security, significantly outpacing the 93.06% industry average, and maintained a perfect rating for GenAI and LLM operational efficiency. Rahul Sood, General Manager of Application Security, emphasized that these benchmarks provide critical assurance for customers managing live AI and API environments. To further scale these capabilities, the company recently introduced its Secure Agent DLC, which includes new features like AI Firewall and AIBOM, alongside expanded ecosystem integrations with partners such as Google Cloud Apigee and Kong.
