The capital injection targets a wide range of improvements, from upgraded interior decor and refreshed signage to expanded fresh food and bakery departments. Shoppers in communities such as Matthews, Waxhaw, Concord, and Huntersville, North Carolina, as well as Fort Mill and Rock Hill, South Carolina, will see these changes roll out in phases. Beyond aesthetic updates, the company is prioritizing operational efficiency with new fixtures designed for easier navigation and enhanced capacity for pickup and delivery services.
Three new locations are slated for construction in Fort Mill, Lake Wylie, and Kannapolis. According to company president Tammy DeBoer, the strategy is rooted in a desire to better serve neighborhood needs after 90 years of history in the region. As renovations wrap up at individual sites, the retailer plans to host grand re-opening celebrations featuring "Taste of Teeter" events, offering local customers a chance to experience the updated store environments firsthand. This investment coincides with the company's ongoing philanthropic efforts, which have contributed over $27.4 million to hunger relief in the Charlotte area during the last decade.
