Oprah Winfrey Plans Immersive Las Vegas Experience at The Sphere

Inspired by a U2 performance at Las Vegas’ high-tech Sphere, Oprah Winfrey is developing a two-hour immersive live show titled "AHA." The production aims to transport audiences to the edge of space through sensory technology, integrating music and film to explore themes of human connection and shared experience.

Winfrey describes the upcoming show as a culmination of her decades-long career, designed to leverage the venue’s 160,000 speakers and advanced sensory capabilities. The production will feature a diverse lineup of collaborators, including musician Jacob Collier, poet Ocean Vuong, and Oscar-nominated composer Max Richter. The creative team also includes Ethan Tobman and Baz Halpin, known for their work on Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour.

Beyond her Las Vegas project, Winfrey is overseeing significant structural changes to her philanthropic initiatives. The Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls (OWLAG) will conclude its current operations by the end of 2027. According to representatives, the remaining students will be transitioned to other elite institutions with full tuition support provided by Winfrey, while the academy shifts its focus toward a broader scholarship program.
