Sunlighten Launches High-Heat Sauna Integrating Red Light Therapy

For over two decades, Sunlighten has centered its wellness technology on infrared light, long before the current consumer surge in red light interest. The Amplify RED unit functions by balancing thermal biology with photobiology, ensuring that the light reaching the skin is calibrated for wavelength, proximity, and intensity. CEO Aaron Zack emphasizes that the system is engineered around how the body receives light, rather than merely attaching panels to an existing structure.

The sauna reaches temperatures up to 170°F, utilizing proprietary SoloCarbon far infrared heaters that boast 99% emissivity. To maintain this heat, the unit features double-pane glass and advanced insulation. Users can control the photobiomodulation and infrared systems independently, allowing for sessions that prioritize either heat or light therapy. The design also incorporates CELLIANT infrared fiber in the heater coverings, which captures and reflects body heat back into the environment.

This release expands on the company's 2010 mPulse line, which first introduced near-infrared integration. While the mPulse series focuses on app-guided protocols, the Amplify RED is positioned for customers seeking a more traditional, high-heat sauna experience combined with modern light therapy. The company, which holds 37 patents, currently serves both residential markets and luxury destinations including Four Seasons and The Ritz-Carlton.
