The collaboration marks a shift toward consolidating routine health benefits into a single provider relationship. For members, the Vision Plus program offers access to a catalog of over 10,000 frames and various lens technologies, including digital progressives. By operating as a direct-to-consumer benefit rather than traditional insurance, the program bypasses common administrative hurdles, targeting savings of $200 to $400 per transaction.
Zach Smith, owner of American Dental Care Partners, noted that consumers rarely categorize their health needs into isolated silos, making the addition of vision care a logical expansion of their current dental offerings. Terry Ward of United Vision Plan emphasized that the integration allows the company to leverage its vertical supply chain to provide premium optical products at lower price points than standard vision insurance plans. The initiative is currently rolling out across the firm’s operational footprint, which includes Texas, Florida, California, New York, and New Jersey.
