Pets at Home strengthens leadership with double executive appointment

Phil Hackney rejoins the business to oversee supply chain operations, transitioning from his role as Chief Operating Officer at Matalan. His background includes a previous tenure as Logistics Director at Pets at Home, alongside executive experience at The Very Group. His return marks a homecoming for a leader familiar with the company's specific logistical demands.

Joining him on November 2nd is Sarah Findlater, who steps into the role of Group Chief People Officer. Findlater arrives from Marks & Spencer, where she spent nearly three decades navigating various leadership positions, most recently focusing on organizational culture and business transformation. Reporting directly to Chief Executive Officer James Bailey, she will manage the firm's human resources strategy across its diverse business units. Bailey noted that Findlater’s retail experience is expected to be instrumental as the company pursues its ambitious growth plans and continues to develop its internal culture.
