Seabourn Schedules 30-Day Amazon Expedition for 2028 Ruby Jubilee

Seabourn is marking its 40th anniversary with a month-long Amazon expedition, set to depart Miami on November 18, 2028. The "Amazon Explorer: Rivers & Rainforests" voyage aboard the Seabourn Quest will navigate the waterway, stopping at 15 destinations across seven countries before concluding its journey on December 18.

The itinerary emphasizes deeper regional access, featuring an overnight stay in the Brazilian city of Manaus. This extended stop allows passengers to explore local markets and riverside architecture before the ship continues its route through the rainforest. Beyond the Amazon, the voyage includes calls at French Guiana’s Devil's Island and several Caribbean ports, such as Saint Barthelemy, Trinidad, and Grenada.

Mark Tamis, president of Seabourn, stated that the voyage is designed to offer a balance of remote exploration and the personalized service characteristic of the line. The ship, which recently underwent a comprehensive interior renovation, will host the journey as part of the company's Ruby Jubilee celebrations. Following this excursion, the vessel is scheduled to transition into a 138-day world cruise departing in early 2029.
