Quantara AI Debuts Agent Network to Quantify Cyber Risk in Dollars

Boise-based Quantara AI has launched a specialized agent network designed to translate complex technical cyber vulnerabilities into dollar-denominated business risks. By ranking remediation efforts based on expected return on investment, the platform aims to help security teams move beyond simple alert fatigue toward data-driven financial prioritization.

The Quantara AI Agent Network operates by ingesting data from existing infrastructure—including CrowdStrike, Wiz, and AWS—to build a unified risk model. Rather than overwhelming security teams with thousands of findings, the system identifies the top 1% of exposures that threaten material business loss. These risks are then mapped to specific business units and frameworks like NIST and CIS, allowing for a defensible, continuous assessment of the organization’s risk posture.

The system relies on a multi-stage process where agents handle ingestion, context correlation, financial quantification, and governance. Critically, the platform maintains a human-in-the-loop requirement, routing all proposed remediation actions for approval before they are pushed to ticketing systems or executive dashboards. According to CEO Harish Barnela, the transition marks a shift from merely identifying problems to strategically determining which vulnerabilities justify immediate capital allocation. This approach aligns with broader industry forecasts, such as IDC predictions suggesting that 40% of enterprises will adopt autonomous, agent-driven risk quantification platforms by 2028.
