Convr Debuts DocData to Automate Insurance Risk Summaries

Chicago-based Convr has unveiled DocData, a new AI tool designed to parse complex commercial insurance applications and generate comprehensive risk summaries in minutes. By extracting loss history and operational exposures from raw submission documents, the platform aims to accelerate decision-making for carriers, brokers, and managing general agents.

The technology addresses the industry-wide bottleneck of manual document review, where underwriters often spend hours deciphering unstructured submission data. Harish Neelmana, founder and chief product officer at Convr, noted that the shared priority across the insurance value chain is perfecting application data while aggressively reducing handling time. The tool serves as a gateway to the broader Convr AI Underwriting Workbench, allowing firms to validate the platform's utility before committing to enterprise-scale integration.

To encourage adoption, the company is offering a trial period that grants first-time users five free document submissions over a five-day window. This structure allows firms to stress-test the intelligence layer against their own specific portfolios before moving toward a full-scale deployment of the company's automated underwriting infrastructure.
