V2X Secures $19 Million Contract to Supply Tempest C-UAS to Marines

Under the terms of the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity agreement, V2X will handle the full lifecycle of the Tempest platform. This includes vehicle delivery, software management, maintenance, and essential engineering services. The system is engineered to detect, track, and neutralize hostile drones while retaining the agility required for rapid repositioning during active missions.

Jeremy C. Wensinger, President and CEO of V2X, noted that the Tempest system directly addresses the urgent demand for flexible defense tools on the modern battlefield. The company developed the platform using a commercially derived architecture, allowing for faster integration and sustainment compared to traditional defense procurement cycles. This contract reinforces the company’s expanding role in counter-UAS technology, where it combines logistics and mission expertise to move defensive capabilities from initial design to field operations.
