IVI RMA Expands Northeast Footprint with Illume Fertility Acquisition

The partnership combines Illume’s reputation for specialized fertility care with the clinical resources of the IVI RMA network, which encompasses 27 IVF laboratories. According to Lynn Mason, CEO of IVI RMA North America, the acquisition aligns with the organization’s strategy to scale access to innovative treatment protocols. Dr. Mark Leondires, Medical Director at Illume, noted that the transition provides his team with greater access to international research and clinical infrastructure.

This growth strategy follows a productive year for IVI RMA, which reported 11,000 births across its global network in 2025. By connecting the new Connecticut locations with existing operations in Boston and New Jersey, the company seeks to create a more integrated clinical corridor. The expanded network continues to focus on evidence-based practices, including preimplantation genetic testing and fertility preservation, serving a broader patient base as the demand for assisted reproductive technology continues to rise.
