The expansion comes as local institutions seek a more sophisticated approach to digital assets. According to IMF data, roughly 80% of Swiss banks currently lack a regulated crypto offering, creating a significant opening for specialized infrastructure providers. Fuze intends to fill this void by enabling institutional brokerage and OTC execution, allowing Swiss private banks and wealth managers to offer digital asset services through a fully disclosed, regulated model.
CEO Mo Ali Yusuf noted that Swiss firms require more than basic add-on products, demanding instead secure, scalable systems that align with existing financial frameworks. To support this, Country Manager Gianluca Masini is leading the formation of a local team in Lugano. The firm will operate exclusively on a B2B basis, integrating its services with established SWIFT, SEPA, and SIC payment networks to ensure seamless interoperability between digital and conventional finance.
