Jeanniey Walden appointed Chief Marketing Officer at Fluent

Fluent has appointed retail industry veteran Jeanniey Walden as its new Chief Marketing Officer, tasking the former Barnes & Noble and JCPenney executive with steering the company’s commerce media strategy as it seeks to scale its digital footprint and deepen its partnerships with major national brands.

Walden brings over three decades of leadership experience to the role, having previously held senior positions at Rite Aid, DailyPay, and Mercer. Before stepping into this executive capacity, she served on Fluent’s board of advisors, where she played a direct role in shaping the company’s approach to customer experience and growth. Her background also includes founding Liftoff Enterprises, a consultancy focused on brand development and digital transformation.

Fluent CEO Don Patrick noted that Walden’s history as a former client provides her with a unique perspective on the challenges retailers face today. For her part, Walden emphasized that the company is well-positioned to navigate the shifting media landscape by leveraging deterministic data and social selling tools. Fluent’s client roster currently includes high-profile names such as CVS, Walmart, and Dick’s Sporting Goods, all of whom are navigating the increasing pressure to balance profitability with personalized consumer engagement.
