Tillo acquires Amilon to scale digital rewards platform

Rewards and incentive platform Tillo has acquired Italian digital gift card specialist Amilon, marking a significant expansion of its European footprint. The deal consolidates two major players in the digital value sector as they move to capture a larger share of the multinational rewards and employee benefits market.

The acquisition, for which financial terms remain undisclosed, positions the combined entity to process over £3 billion in gift card value by 2026. Tillo CEO Alex Preece stated the move aligns with a shared vision for the future of digital engagement, combining Tillo’s international reach with Amilon’s two decades of expertise in Southern Europe. The integration is expected to yield a 30% year-over-year growth rate for the unified group.

Amilon’s co-founders, Andrea Verri and Fabio Regazzoni, will remain involved as the businesses merge operations. The move is backed by investment firm Tenzing, which has supported Tillo since 2025. Tenzing portfolio leads Gareth Healy and Maria Tozzi Spadoni noted that the acquisition is a natural progression for both founder-led companies, creating a robust, profitable platform capable of serving global enterprise clients through a unified digital ecosystem.
