The San Jose Fire Department mobilized at 8:22 p.m., quickly escalating the situation by requesting an Ambulance Task Force and additional life support units to manage the mounting casualties. Officials confirmed that 14 ambulances were deployed to the site, with the majority of the medical crises unfolding during the final 30 minutes of the duo's set. Police reports cited suspected drug-related issues and alcohol intoxication as the primary factors behind the hospitalizations.
This incident marks the second time in recent months that a performance by Drew Taggart and Alex Pall has been marred by a mass casualty event. In August, a show at the Palm Springs Air Museum resulted in nine injuries after a violent altercation involving thrown glass bottles, which later led to the arrest of a 35-year-old suspect. Despite the emergency intervention in San Jose, which concluded with resources clearing the scene by 10:34 p.m., the duo’s tour schedule remained unchanged, with a performance slated for the following day in Las Vegas.
