Przemek Czarnecki departs Asos after 18-month technology overhaul

Przemek Czarnecki has stepped down from his role as Chief Technology Officer and Executive Vice President of Technology at Asos. His departure marks the conclusion of an 18-month tenure defined by a comprehensive digital transformation and the modernization of the fashion retailer’s core technology infrastructure.

Czarnecki, who joined the company following a stint at Zalando, announced his exit via LinkedIn. During his time at the helm, he focused on strengthening the company’s engineering leadership and integrating artificial intelligence into business operations. These initiatives were intended to build a more robust data foundation for the company’s future growth.

In his parting statement, Czarnecki emphasized the importance of leaving an organization in a stronger position than he found it. He expressed gratitude toward the board, management committee, and his internal teams for their collaborative efforts during the transition. Asos has not yet named a successor to lead its technology division.
