The system utilizes in-ear PPG and motion sensors to track heart rate, HRV, and sleep position, while the accompanying charging case monitors ambient noise, light, temperature, and humidity. An onboard AI agent interprets these data points to execute specific interventions, such as shifting from Bluetooth streaming to local sleep audio once the user drifts off. If external disturbances like snoring or traffic occur, the earbuds automatically adjust active noise cancellation or introduce masking sounds to maintain rest. Each earbud weighs 3.3 grams and features a 9.9 mm low-profile design, with over 40 fit configurations available for side-sleeping comfort.
Fitnexa founder Diego emphasized that sleep technology must evolve beyond static monitoring, noting that the system is designed to intervene while the night is still happening. The hardware offers up to 16 hours of battery life, with an offline alarm system that wakes only the wearer without needing a phone connection. To address privacy concerns, the device does not record or store ambient conversations, and users can selectively disable sensors via the DUVA app. The product is scheduled for an October 2026 release with a retail price of 349.99 USD in major markets including the United States, Canada, the European Union, the United Kingdom, and Australia.
