The final sale price lands significantly below the $4.7 million Plaza and Baena paid for the 4,064-square-foot residence in 2022. Once transaction costs and renovations are factored in, the sale represents a notable financial loss. The home, built in 1928, served as the site where Baena was found dead in January 2025 at age 47. Following his death, which the Los Angeles County medical examiner ruled a suicide, Plaza maintained a private profile while navigating what she described on Amy Poehler’s podcast as a daily struggle with grief.
The property, located in the Los Feliz Oaks neighborhood, features four bedrooms, six bathrooms, and distinctive historical elements like stained glass and arched doorways. After an initial deal fell through in May, Plaza relisted the home for $5.29 million before further reducing the price in July. This exit from the property coincides with a major personal milestone for the actress, who recently welcomed her first child with actor Christopher Abbott. By closing this real estate transaction, Plaza moves forward as she balances the demands of early motherhood and her professional career.
