The new hardware distinguishes itself through a high-efficiency rotary compressor and an optimized refrigeration system, achieving an integrated energy factor of 1.88. Designed for basements and large floor plans, the unit addresses common humidity issues such as mustiness and mold growth while maintaining a 46-decibel noise level on its quietest setting.
Functional additions include a removable pump capable of vertical drainage up to 10 feet and a MERV 11 filtration system to reduce internal dust buildup. Users can manage humidity targets and run times remotely via the VeSync app, which also features an E-Save mode that automatically throttles fan speeds during peak energy hours. According to Charlie Park, Vice President of Research, Design & Development at Levoit, the company aimed to establish a new category benchmark for maintenance and performance. The dehumidifier is currently available through Levoit.com and Amazon, with replacement filters sold separately.
