Pillar Biosciences Adds Industry Veterans to Board of Directors

Todd Christian, currently a senior vice president at Illumina, brings over 25 years of experience in genomics, arrays, and clinical diagnostics. His background in scaling high-growth businesses and his familiarity with the existing collaboration between Illumina and Pillar will assist the company as it expands its in vitro diagnostics portfolio. Christian holds a degree in biology from Hamilton College.

Yann Echelard, a partner at ORI Capital, offers three decades of expertise spanning biotechnology research, clinical development, and corporate management. Having previously served as an operating partner at Flagship Pioneering and as CEO of rEVO Biologics, Echelard has a track record of founding and guiding life sciences organizations. He currently serves on the board of TG Therapeutics and advises the Gene and Cell Therapy Institute at Mass General Brigham.
