Barnes Barton Tapped as CEO of Pavement Preservation Group

Barton joins the Nashville-based firm following a sixteen-year tenure at CRH, where he most recently led the South Division of CRH Americas Materials. His familiarity with the company’s backers, The Sterling Group, stems from his board seat at Frontline Road Safety, a former Sterling investment sold to Bain Capital in 2025. He also maintains a position on the board of the National Asphalt Pavement Association, a role he has held since 2024.

Brad Staller, a partner at The Sterling Group, noted that the firm’s prior working relationship with Barton during the Frontline era informed the appointment. For his part, Barton plans to focus on scaling the platform through both organic growth and acquisitions. The company specializes in infrastructure maintenance, providing products and services designed to extend the lifespan of asphalt through cost-effective, localized application.
