Sayari Migrates Commercial Data to Snowflake to Unlock AI Potential

By shifting its massive archive of 12 billion records to Snowflake’s AI Data Cloud, Washington-based Sayari aims to capture 75% of previously inaccessible information. The move reconfigures the company’s Commercial World Model, transforming decade-old primary documents into a foundation for advanced risk intelligence and supply chain analysis.

For over ten years, Sayari has aggregated corporate filings, government gazettes, and shipping records from 250 jurisdictions. While the company previously relied on deterministic extraction to parse this data, those methods hit a ceiling, leaving vast amounts of contextual patterns locked within the files. By rebuilding on Snowflake, Sayari can now apply modern AI techniques across its entire archive simultaneously, rather than processing documents individually.

This infrastructure overhaul is projected to cut data costs by more than 50%. According to Chief Product Officer Jessie Abell, the transition allows the firm to move beyond simple record-keeping to provide traceable, verifiable answers for Fortune 100 clients and national intelligence agencies. Because the archive includes deep web data often invisible to standard search engines, Sayari serves as a unique repository for intelligence on global trade networks and ownership structures. The company plans to roll out new products based on this architecture later this year, focusing on identifying complex patterns in sanctions evasion and geopolitical risk.
