Patriot CEO John Galaviz pointed to Christian’s track record in mergers, acquisitions, and talent recruitment as the primary driver for the hire. Christian founded Risk Strategies in 1997 and served as its chief executive for 22 years, a tenure that earned him an induction into the Insurance Business America Hall of Fame in 2020 and the Insurance Library’s 2025 Insurance Professional of the Year award.
Christian’s career spans back to his early days as an underwriter in California, followed by senior roles at Alexander & Alexander and Jardine Insurance Brokers. At Patriot, he joins a firm that has expanded rapidly since its 2019 founding, now employing over 2,100 people across 100 locations. The company currently ranks as the 24th-largest broker in the U.S. and maintains backing from private equity firms GI Partners and Summit Partners.
