Dermalogica Targets Eczema Flare-Ups With New Repair Serum

For those managing eczema-prone or reactive skin, discomfort often arrives without warning. To address the cycle of sudden itching and tightness, Los Angeles-based Dermalogica has introduced its Stabilizing Repair Serum, a clinically tested formula designed to provide immediate relief while fortifying the skin's moisture barrier against future irritation.

The serum utilizes a 1% colloidal oat skin protectant to calm sensory triggers. Beyond basic hydration, the product incorporates a biomimetic complex of lipids and phytosterols alongside northern truffle mushroom extract to soothe skin. According to company data, the serum is clinically proven to reduce signs of irritation, including stinging and dryness, within 30 minutes of application.

Heather Hickman, VP of Global Education at Dermalogica, notes that the product was developed to move beyond simple moisturization by addressing the source of discomfort and building long-term resilience. The lightweight, fast-absorbing treatment is intended for both face and body and can be integrated into existing routines or paired with the company’s Stabilizing Repair Cream.

Starting September 2, 2026, the serum is available in a 1.7 FL OZ airless pump tube through Dermalogica flagship locations, the company's website, and authorized retail partners. The launch continues the brand’s focus on professional-grade skin health, a commitment established by founder Jane Wurwand in 1986.
