EVB Ultra-Slim 150 kW Charger Secures Double Design Win

With a profile measuring just 100 millimeters in thickness, EVB’s BUDC dual-connector charger has claimed both the 2026 iF DESIGN AWARD and the Red Dot Award. The accolade recognizes the unit’s ability to pack high-power performance into a compact form factor designed specifically for space-constrained urban environments.

The 150 kW BUDC charger directly tackles the logistical hurdles of European infrastructure projects where footprint remains a critical constraint. Its flat architecture facilitates versatile deployment, including wall-mounted and embedded configurations suitable for bus depots, truck stops, and public parking facilities. Beyond its aesthetic recognition, the hardware features an IP65-rated enclosure and a liquid-cooling system, ensuring durability in outdoor conditions.

Technically, the unit manages power distribution through intelligent allocation when charging two vehicles simultaneously. Maintenance is streamlined via independently replaceable AC, DC, and control modules, a design choice intended to lower the long-term operational burden for fleet managers and charge point operators. CEO Jundan Wang noted that the development goal focused on reconciling high-performance charging requirements with the physical limitations of modern city landscapes.

EVB, a subsidiary of BENY New Energy, continues to expand its footprint across Europe with products supporting OCPP 1.6J/2.0.1 and ISO 15118 Plug & Charge standards. The company’s broader portfolio now ranges from 3.7 kW residential units to 2,000 kW megawatt charging systems, backed by a history of over 25,000 projects globally.
