Acer Expands Gaming Handheld Lineup with Predator Atlas 7

Acer is pushing deeper into the portable gaming market with the Predator Atlas 7, a 7-inch handheld that scales down the flagship performance of its 8-inch predecessor. Debuted at the next@acer conference in Berlin, the device aims to balance high-end mobile power with a more compact, ergonomic design.

The Predator Atlas 7 (PA07-I51) arrives with Intel Arc G3 Extreme processors and Arc B390 graphics, targeting gamers who require desktop-class performance on the go. To manage the thermal output of this hardware, Acer implemented a dual-fan cooling system featuring a precision metal Predator AeroBlade fan. This design, bolstered by Vortex Flow tuning, allows for sustained performance during intensive gaming sessions. The device is powered by an 80 Wh battery and features a 7-inch FHD display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus with DXC coating.

Beyond hardware, Acer showcased the Project DualPlay Mini, a conceptual device that attempts to merge mobile gaming with productivity. The concept utilizes a flip-and-swivel architecture, allowing it to function as a handheld console or a mini-laptop with a physical keyboard. While the Predator Atlas 7 is scheduled for a Q4 2026 release in North America and a November 2026 launch in EMEA, the DualPlay Mini remains a purely experimental prototype intended to test the boundaries of convertible portable form factors.
