Bodycare Returns to Leicester with New Concept Store

After collapsing into administration last year, health and beauty retailer Bodycare is accelerating its UK high street recovery with the opening of its third 'Studio Store' in Leicester’s Highcross centre this Saturday. The move marks a key milestone in the brand's ambitious strategy to reach 150 locations within five years.

The Leicester launch follows successful openings in Sheffield and Derby, signaling a fresh start for the brand under new ownership. Acquired in late 2025 by an investor group led by former The Body Shop and Molton Brown CEO Charles Denton, the company is targeting a total of 15 new UK sites throughout 2026.

Central to the new retail concept is a free-to-use Creator Studio, designed to host local influencers, charities, and community groups. Charles Denton described the expansion as a response to the strong identity and creativity found in cities like Leicester. For Highcross Centre Director Michelle Menezes, the opening represents a full-circle moment, as the store team includes several staff members who worked at the location prior to the company’s previous closure.
